TIPS FOR CLEANING YOUR PARKING SYSTEMS
Cleaning your parking systems requires a little teamwork. Of course, we’ll take care of the difficult cases for you. However, regular maintenance cleaning ensures the longevity of your parking system. We’ll show you how to do that here. 1. Thorough cleaning of the drive plate in parking systems
Regular sweeping (at least twice a year) and the removal of dirt and debris will ensure that your deck and the entire platform last significantly longer. To do this, simply use a broom to regularly remove dust, gravel, leaves, and other debris, or use a vacuum cleaner to remove finer dust. These small cleaning tasks also help prevent foreign objects from damaging the mechanical components of your Duplexparker.
2. Winter Maintenance Cleaning of Parking Systems
In winter, parking systems are subjected to significantly greater stress from dirt, salt water, and ice. That is why we recommend performing a thorough cleaning several times during the winter season:
- Use a broom to remove snow, ice, salt, and dirt from your underground parking space or parking system. Be sure to also remove gravel and other debris.
- If condensation has formed under the upper platform, remove it thoroughly.
- Use a broom, vacuum cleaner, or even a water jet to thoroughly clean the platforms, center beams, and side beams. Please also clean the drainage channels on the side and center beams. Be sure to limit the water pressure to a maximum of 5 bar, and do not use a high-pressure washer to avoid damaging the mechanical components and the platform.
- For garages where leaves accumulate in the fall, the drainage channels on the center and side beams should be cleared of leaves and debris so that water can drain quickly and effectively.
3. Thorough cleaning of the parking systems, the garage structures, and the pit
At least once a year—and in winter, preferably once a month—you should make sure to remove any dirty water from the pit, such as water from rain, snow, or cleaning. This will help prevent corrosion and also protect your vehicle from rust. You can find detailed instructions on this in our cleaning guide for parking systems.
4. Proper disposal after cleaning the parking system
Please be sure to properly dispose of the wastewater and dry debris after cleaning the parking system and garage to avoid harming the environment. The wastewater and dust contain numerous residues and particles that should not enter the drinking water supply.
